- Wear comfortable, casual clothing; a short-sleeved shirt is recommended. Avoid dresses, skirts, rompers, jumpsuits, crop tops, or waist trainers.
- If your surgeon prescribed a preoperative sedative, the prescription will be sent to your pharmacy by the end of the day before your procedure. Please follow the instructions on the medication.

- You may take your regular daily medications with a small sip of water, unless your surgeon has advised otherwise.
- Bring any removable appliances (such as a flipper, Essix, or denture) that were discussed during your consultation.
Local Anesthetic Surgeries (Patient Is Awake)
- If your procedure involves only local anesthesia (numbing), you may eat, drink, and continue your regular routine right up until your appointment time. Fasting is not necessary.

IV Sedation Surgeries (Patient Is “Asleep”)
- If your surgery involves general anesthesia (IV sedation), do not eat or drink anything (including water) for 8 hours prior to the procedure.
- Avoid wearing makeup, jewelry, or bringing valuables. Remove nail polish, including gel and acrylic, from the index fingers on both hands.
- You will need a valid driver to check in with you on the morning of your procedure (Uber, Lyft, cabs, etc., are not considered valid drivers).
- Your driver will be asked to remain in the office for the duration of your surgery and is not permitted to leave the premises at any time.
